More Family Pictures From the Vault: Album Two

Just a bit of a heads up: Toot turns one year old this coming Saturday! (10/10) I hope you all will join me here that day for a "Toot-Spectacular" birthday post including Toot Trivia and a buttload of pictures!

Now on to the family...

First, thank you all so much for your comments on the pictures from the first album. I'm planning to highlight my favorites from each of the 11 albums I was given in New York and today is Album Two's turn in the spotlight. For those of you just joining me, these albums came from a Great Aunt of my husband's who has passed and unfortunately we are not sure who everyone is in the pictures.

Album Two seems to be mainly from the 1920's and luckily one of the pictures is dated as you will soon see. There are some fun ones in this bunch, including a group outing and a picnic. Thank you for taking a peep into my family's history with me! And as before:

I'm sure it goes without saying that these pictures are not to be posted anywhere or used in any way without express permission from me. Period. I can be contacted at katamommy at gmail.com. I promise I don't bite! :D

Enjoy!

(This one is my personal favorite)

Check out the guys being silly in the girls' hats. I love this one so much!

Happy Sunday everyone!

Oh these are amazing - photos from this era are usually so posed and stiff. What a fun bunch they look. My absolute favourite is the group in their bathing costumes. That womans face is just fantastic - is her man pinching or tickling her I wonder - his face is very guilty! :D

LOVE the pic with the guy and the girl by the old car. SO much life and expression.

@Carmen: I thought the exact same thing! That's what makes these photos so special to me, they are of people being silly, natural and just living life.

I love looking at your family photos. The swimsuits are great! I think my favorite part of the pictures is the backgrounds. I find it so neat to look at the houses, and landscapes in old pictures. Especially of places I am familiar with! I have some very old pictures of my grandpa. I should post them on my blog! That would be cool:) Toot is going to be 1 WOOW! I bet you are so excited! Have a great week.

Oh, I just LOVE these! What fabulous pictures! Everyone had such style back then, didn't they? And they all look like they are either off an adventure or in the middle of one. That top one is my absolute favorite. It's a greeting card just waiting to be made. :) Thanks so much for sharing.

Wow!!! These photos are amazing. I just love them.

You are so lucky to have all of these, I don't have many old photos from our family, don't know if they just didn't take photos or whether other folk had them and dumped them, wish someone would offer them to me if they have them.

I'm sure they would all make fabulous cards - especially the one of the guys wearing the girls' hats!!!! So funny.

Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to see more.

Maggi, how fortunate you are to have those pictures...they are amazing. My favorite is of the couple at the car where the girl looks like she just jumped in his arms....beautiful. Hope you find names and such for them all!!!!

These photos are just too amazing for words. Seriously, I spend an inordinate amount of time looking at all manner of vintage images and I can tell you, that in my experience, it's rare to encounter such jovial, candid, expressive vintage photos. Everyone in this family seems like they would have been such a blast to hang out with it!

Huge thanks for sharing these amazing images, honey - hope you have a stellar Tuesday!
