My fingers are crossed that we will actually be able to do something for our 3rd anniversary...third time's the charm, right? So if you don't mind indulging my nostalgia as I reflect a little on the past couple of years...
This was us the weekend he proposed in early December 2006.
I had gone up to NY and he was sick as a dog. He had planned a big to-do proposal around Christmas but through a flu induced fog of inspiration proposed while we were watching "Wedding Crashers". First I couldn't stop laughing, then I couldn't stop crying.
We may have done the whole official engagement portrait thing but we did it in style...Xbox style that is (it is what brought us together after all...)

Awww, great pics, LOVE the engagement photos. Freakin' awesome! I envision something similar when my son gets engaged. Maybe he'll still be dressing up like Mario and he'll find his Princess Peach hehe.

Sorry he isn't there with you to celebrate but you can always do that when he gets back. I remember my third year anniversary, gosh that seems ages ago....I will be celebrating my 19th wed anniversary
in September. The years really fly by. Make sure Maggi you get all the romance into your life. That seems to be the hard thing to keep alive in a long term relationship.
