Her Name Is Lisa And She Is A Craftoholic...

Welcome to this week's edition of Craftoholics!

No idea what the what I'm talking about? Go here to find out more!

This week's Craftoholic is the fabulous, Lisa from Georgia!

Please list any crafts you enjoy making. What is your favorite?

"I enjoy sewing, crocheting, jewelry making."

I love this necklace!

When did you start making crafts? Was there a particular reason or event that got your started?

"My parents gave me sewing lessons as a Christmas gift when I was pregnant with my son. And I took off from there. My mom has been crafting since my sisters and I were little, so we were always around “crafters”. My mom had a craft store and a craft business so we have been influenced very much by her."

What do you like to do when you aren't crafting?

"I love to cook (old family recipes and try out new ones) and read—although it takes me MONTHS to finish a book!"

What makes you a craftoholic? What drives you to create?

"It’s cheaper than therapy (NO! Just kidding!). I love to try all different things. Once I tackle that, I’m ready for something else. I am very stubborn, so once I get an idea in my head I go for it and hope for the best. There’s just something within me that wants to create something that will make my life better or someone else’s life better. My original thoughts and ideas almost always never come to fruition when I’m creating something...my final outcome turns out different during the creative process and I end up with something totally different than what I first pictured. I think a lot of people go through this. We’re constantly thinking how to improve or make things better, prettier, function with more ease, etc."

The cherries on this purse are too cute!

What is your favorite food?

"My dad’s lemon chicken is the best!!"

What food do you hate to eat?

"I am not really a fish eater. I love shrimp and lobster, though."

How long have you been blogging?

"I’ve only been blogging since May and I’m HOOKED! My husband calls me a stranger because I’ve substituted watching TV with him, with blogging."

What do you like best about blogging?

"I love when I get a comment! Also, when I think I have a good idea I love to share it in hopes that someone may find it helpful, or even be inspired to try it. I love how you can reach the entire world."

I love the ribbon closures on these necklaces!

What craft have you always wanted to try but, for whatever reason, never have?

"I’d love to learn tatting and basket weaving."

Oh no! You've been ship wrecked on a deserted island! (Luckily you grabbed your adhesive and scissors before you jumped ship!) Name 3 other crafting supplies that your creative survival depends upon! (Note: Capt. Jack Sparrow is not a crafting supply!)

"I will have to have my yarn and crochet hook, and my sewing machine—hopefully I can discover electricity out there so I can power up my machine!"

Thanks for letting me interview you Lisa! You are an amazing a Craftoholic!

Be sure to check back next Monday when another lucky victim...ahem, I mean crafter will be added to the Craftoholic family!
