No idea what the what I'm talking about? Go here to find out more!
Oh boy y'all, things like this only happen once in a lifetime! A pairing of two great minds, a pairing like no other! Sure there was Bing and Bowie, Eminem and Sir Elton, Astaire and a vacuum cleaner but nothing has prepared you for what is about to happen...
This week's Craftoholic is none other than the fabulous, the amazing, the cute, the precious, the hilarious, the super intelligent, the short...ME?!
I was lucky enough to sit down with myself the other day and got to ask some hard hitting questions. Fortunately I was nice enough to answer my questions and I was able to really get to the core of who I was...
Please list any crafts you enjoy making. What is your favorite?
"Geez, I have a list a mile long when it comes to crafts! I've tried and enjoy crochet, cross stitch, knitting, painting, sculpting with polymer clay, scrapbooking, mixed media altered books and canvas, creating ATCs, collage, decoupage, cake decorating, making jewelry, etc etc I love trying it all! My current favorites are scrapbooking and mixed media books/ATCs."
When did you start making crafts? Was there a particular reason or event that got your started?
"I've been creating things for as long as I can remember. My mom is a big crafter and I learned almost everything I know from her. She got me started on cross stitch and taught me the true love one can only get from Mod Podge. :P"
What do you like to do when you aren't crafting?
"My big thing to do is play video games! I love to read and am currently building a collection of celebrity biographies. I also love to go to thrift stores, seeking out vintage treasures and watching old movies."
What makes you a craftoholic? What drives you to create?
"I think a Craftoholic is someone that can't help but create. They dream about it, see it in their mind while they eat, get ideas while at a stop light. That's me. I have to do something creative every day or I would go nuts. There's just too much going on inside my head to not get it down somewhere, whether on canvas, fabric or paper. In terms of scrapbooking, I'm just trying to collect all the memories I can so that when I'm gone my family will be able to remember my life...or if not, someone will at least find some wicked awesome scrapbooks at a flea market one day...hey! I'll be vintage!"
What is your favorite food?
"Oh lawd, if I could live off of chocolate, bread and potatoes without getting diabetes or weighing 3,000 pounds I so would! I'm convinced that when I get to Heaven, God's going to have a chocolate, bread and potato buffet waiting for me."
What food do you hate to eat?
"If you had asked me this a year ago, I would have had a long list but surprisingly I like a lot of foods now I hated when I was younger. I especially like asparagus, cauliflower (when it's made mashed potato style!) and brussel sprouts. Yum! Oh wait, you said 'hate to eat' didn't you? Uh...broccoli I don't care what anyone says, when it's cooking it smells like doody...hee hee...'doody'."
How long have you been blogging?
"I have a video game blog that I started in 2006. I've been writing on this blog since January of this year."
My greatest creation yet...
What do you like best about blogging?
"I absolutely adore the people that read my blog and leave their sweet comments! I have made some of the most fabulous friends and if I had the money I would do a world wide Blog Tour and meet every one of them in person!"
What craft have you always wanted to try but, for whatever reason, never have?
"*sigh*...Sewing just escapes me...I have a machine but I'm thinking I need to take some classes, my first attempt at sewing on a layout was...unpleasant..."
Oh no! You've been ship wrecked on a deserted island! (Luckily you grabbed your adhesive and scissors before you jumped ship!) Name 3 other crafting supplies that your creative survival depends upon! (Note: Capt. Jack Sparrow is not a crafting supply!)
"Stickles, Stickles, Stickles..."
Thanks for letting me interview you Me! You are definitely a Craftoholic!
Be sure to check back next Monday when another lucky victim...ahem, I mean crafter will be added to the Craftoholic family!
