Her Name Is Vicki And She Is A Craftoholic...

Welcome to this week's edition of Craftoholics!

No idea what the what I'm talking about? Go here to find out more!

This week's Craftoholic is the very talented Vicki!

Please list any crafts you enjoy making. What is your favorite?

"I enjoy scrapbooking, some cardmaking, journaling and altered art. My favorite is most definitely altered art because it’s messy!!!"

From Vicki: "This is a display unit I bought in a 2nd hand store, I fell in love with the retro feel of it straight away and we painted the wall Turkish Delight pink to go with it!!!"

When did you start making crafts? Was there a particular reason or event that got your started?

"I started crafting in 2005 when a friend introduced me, my passion came from there – I enjoy it so much more these days though, and I have some more experience."

What do you like to do when you aren't crafting?
"All sorts really – I love blogging, being on the computer, spending time with my friends, shopping, playing with my nephews."

From Vicki: "I love the colours on this and the rustic feel of it with the photo."

What makes you a craftoholic? What drives you to create?

"I think a person is a craftoholic when they read a crafting book at night and can’t sleep because she is making plans!! Lol – I always make creative plans when I should be sleeping!!! What drives me… mmm I guess I craft for different reasons every day – sometimes its to record a story, some days it’s therapeutic and others just because I need something to do – but most day’s it’s because I love creating – there is nothing like it."

What is your favorite food?

"My favourite food of ALL time is sausages – I’ve loved them since I was a child"

What food do you hate to eat?

"I hate all other meat that comes from a pig – pork, gammon etc – eww!!!"

From Vicki: "This was one of my first layouts with paint splatting and I fell in love with it. This layout was a scraplift from a friend Lori, who is one of my biggest inspirations."

How long have you been blogging?

"I have been blogging for about 14 months now."

What do you like best about blogging?

"I love having a place to record what I do, and I love all the nice comments I get from people, I also love seeing other people’s blogs and reading about their lives."

What craft have you always wanted to try but, for whatever reason, never have?

"I tried Encaustic art once at a friend’s house and have been meaning to get back into it and try it again – but I just haven’t gotten around to it."

From Vicki: "This is one of my faves, because it got alot of positive feedback from people and I love the soft latte feel of it!!!"

Oh no! You've been ship wreaked on a deserted island! (Luckily you grabbed your adhesive and scissors before you jumped ship!) Name 3 other crafting supplies that your creative survival depends upon! (Note: Capt. Jack Sparrow is not a crafting supply!)

"ooh I think I would take black ink, white paint and a paint sponge."

Thanks for letting me interview you Vicki! You are such a fun Craftoholic!

Be sure to check back next Monday when another lucky victim...ahem, I mean crafter will be added to the Craftoholic family!
