A Card Day's Night

Ah, my first attempt at card making. I'm planning on taking a card making class this coming weekend at one of the local scrapbook stores and thought I'd play around a little bit. I don't have any stamps to speak of and I'm trying to use up my stash before buying more goodies (hardest thing to do ever!). I read on a blog somewhere that beginning card makers need to keep it simple. I think in the whole of my life, this is the simplest thing I've ever created:

I tried so hard to hold back putting too much on this thing! lol I distressed the edges of the polka dot paper and flower edges with Dark Brown Fluid Chalk. I embellished the middle of the flower with Lime Green Stickles.
