I Am Woman Hear Me Roar and Watch Me Ruin Bathroom Floors

I adore my husband with every fiber of my being but he is not a "handy man" type of guy. If I ask him (and ask him and ask him and ask him) to fix something, he'll do it cheerfully but sometimes I take matters into my own hands. After all, he works all day and I'm perfectly capable of fixing things around the house, right?

Wrong.

The toilet paper holder in our bathroom is the kind that fits into the wall. A few months ago this was ripped out of the wall by a friend of ours that enjoys his scotch and apparently thought our tp holder was a walking cane of some sort. So there's been a gaping hole in our wall where this thing is supposed to be and we've been putting our TP on the edge of the bathtub. I had been able to get it in there and kind of prop it up because I have this fear that something's going to come out of the walls through that hole and eat our faces off.

Unfortunately I have very sweet friends who kept trying to put the roll on the holder and it would inevitably fall out of the wall to which they would come to me and say, "I broke your toilet paper holder, I'm so sorry!" Multiple times this has happened when I finally decided, "heck with this!". So I grabbed the "Gorilla Glue" out of the cabinet, glued the sucker back on the wall and that was that...In your face home repairs! Ha!

The next morning I notice that the glue had started dripping down my wall during the night, dried on its way down and I now have permanent Gorilla Glue stripes on my bathroom wall...crud...

On the bright side, there's no way that holder is ever coming out of the wall again...ever...
