Harry Potter and the Totally Awesome Altered Book

Happy Sunday everyone!

Well the crop over at LPS is going strong and I've got squat to show for it! lol Friday was pretty strong but yesterday included a visit from my mom and going to see "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" with a friend. (Note: final verdict on the movie-Half Blood Prince is excellent despite being a half book movie.)

I'm hoping to get some more of the crop challenges completed today so I'll save my crop creations for later this week. In the meantime, I do have a couple of new pages from the 3x4 altered book to share with you:

Among us gamers, there's usually some debate on whether video games can be considered "art" which is what this page is referencing. When I got to this point in creating this page, I thought it needed something but I didn't know what. I was wrestling with it because essentially all I did was glue patterned paper to the page and add a title. Then I decided that leaving it simple made the title have a double meaning and that it made the point for me even more. Ooooo, how deep of me! :P

Now this next one I am so in love with, I made out with it for a while. I had this idea in my head after going through the red and black mixed media color kits from Gauche Alchemy. These color kits are so amazing and inspirational! This was definitely the quickest one to make because I knew exactly what I wanted to do for it. I love it when that happens!!!

Thanks for checking out my work everyone! I always appreciate your sweet comments!

LOVE the altered art. I just bought a journal, and I am planning to start making an art journal. Wish me luck. I am not nearly as "artsy" as you!!!

HP and the half blood prince movie is the whole book. The next one HP and the deathly hallows will be 2 movies, hence half a book.

ACK! sorry to seem like a total nerd about the HP stuff, but I am a TOTAL HP ADDICT!!!! bad me. sorry.

David Yates (director) did a superb job just magnificent to watch, may be Alfonso CuarĂ³n would have made them ROCK. I am a great fan of Harry Potter series. My favorite still remains HP3: Prisoner of Azkaban. But Half Blood was simply outstanding on levels.
Being a great fan I have collected a list of good sites and articles (may be around 200) related to Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (movie information, movie schedule, movie reviews, books, games, news, wallpapers and many more). If you are interested take a look at the below link
