If I Could Talk To The Animals...

You know, I was going to post this along with my Fab Five tomorrow but then I started writing and couldn't seem to stop so here's a post all about my cat, Crickette and dog, Lebowski. You lucky reader you! ;)

The fabulous and fun Alicia over at It Ain't Easy Being Cheesy tagged the tar out of me and this is a good one:

1. Open your first photo folder
2. Scroll down to the 10th photo
3. Post that photo and story on your blog
4. Tag five friends to do the same.

So here's my picture:

So this is the hubby with Crickette, our cat. Well, I guess technically she's my cat as I've had her since she was born. Literally, I watched her being born and she's about 12 years old now. I thought she was the ugliest thing when she was born and if it hadn't been for an eye infection she got straight away, I probably would have given her away. But putting meds on her eyes every day put us together quite a bit and by the time her eyes got better, I was in love.

Crickette has been with me ever since and I've always said that dogs are like toddlers and cats are like teenagers. She knows my emotions and whenever I'm crying, she comes running. And when I'm angry...well, she goes running! lol She's the most snuggly kitty, she comes when you call her and she'll cut you if you don't share your french fries with her (she's a total carb addict). Once Chris moved down here, she claimed him and she is totally a "Daddy's Girl".

And then there's Lebowski:

Lebowski is just a floppy dumb donkey of a dog, which in my opinion is the best kind of dog to have. We also call him "Bubba" and yes, he'll respond to both names. I've had him since he was a few months old, I believe he's around 3 or 4 years old now. He was used to sleeping with me before Chris moved down so that took some adjusting to say the least. We've woken up with him in between us, his head on our pillows and he has even had the courtesy to puke on us while we were sleeping one time when he was sick. Oh the joy of it all...

I love this picture. We were walking through a pet store and the mice caught his attention. He was so fascinated with them! And if you can tell in the picture, that one mouse was pretty fascinated with him too! lol He is a very sweet dog and loves Toot a lot. If I leave her and she cries, he'll come over to me and give me a look like, "Um hello? Can you not hear her? I'd hate to call Social Services on you..." Bossy dog...

What can I say, I love them both and they are part of the family after all. I know I'm suppose to tag other bloggers but y'all know my nosiness so please participate if you wish and let me know so I can see! :)

Have a great night and see you tomorrow for a new Friday Night Fab Five!

Such wonderful photos, especially the one where they are curled up together...so sweet! I just love how our pets add so much to our lives.

I need to get a cat again becuase my man runs the other direction whether I cry or I'm angry...it would be nice to have a little comfort for when I have one of my tantrums.

I have pictures of our animals like that. My kitty, Briskette was like your Crickett and he even played fetch (brought it back too).
